100th Post!!

Lol... so I just signed in to put up an update, and it tells me this is my 100th post! Wahoo!! Yes.... I really AM a geek, methinks...lol.

I am waiting for the washer and dryer to finish while packing for my trip tomorrow, and have decided to catch up on some "me" time. Something I love... which I know will come as a huge shock... is digital scrapbooking! Only, I haven't scrapped or even shopped for supplies in such a long time. So, I took the night off and visited some of the new places that have popped up, and paid visits to old friends. I've downloaded some fantastic things... and I am in love with the new Prima Hybrid site! I think I just about bought all the digital downloads they had! Nothing like having a little mad money to spend.... (keeps me away from the Blackjack tables tomorrow...). LittleDreamer has some cute new things up, and I'm about to go visit DesignerDigitals. What a fun night! I've almost forgotten it's nearly midnight.

Tomorrow I leave for Vegas! I can't wait to see Angie and the other gals I've been missing. Not sure what to expect at PMA, but we'll hope for the best. I will update from there, I promise.

Dizzying Day

So MUCH to do, so little time, and I am officially taking the day off tomorrow. I found out last night that I'm being slammed on the "bad blog", as the digi-scrap community calls it. Hubby says that is a sure sign of success. I think it's just bad taste... anyway, I'm trying to let it slide off my back and not get upset or angry about it.

I am, however, THRILLED to say that PurplePaperFlowers.com is growing its own community! Being open has never felt so good. The tutorials are going up, and everyone that has signed up has been so very nice. It's like coming "home"... it's great.

I am 4 days away from leaving for Las Vegas for the PMA show. I just can't wait to see my friend, Angie. We only get to hook up at these trade shows, and she's so much fun. I can't decide if I want to take my video camera or not. It'll be fun.

Tomorrow I'm spending the day with Paul. I think we are going to try and catch a movie. He's bound and determined to get me away from this laptop for a while.

Household Appliance Manslaughter

It's not quite as gruesome as it sounds. I have a history with coffee makers. I don't even drink that much coffee. And, I don't buy cheap coffee-pots. But, none-the-less, our Black & Decker coffeemaker is done. Only after about 6 months... it's quit completely. Ugh! That's our 5th one on 4 years!! Who does that!

Then, yesterday Paul was vacuuming. A novel idea at our house...lol. But, our Bissel that's less than a year old- completely died!! So, now that's two new appliances that died...

But it doesn't end there. The cordless phone (of which there is one in our house...how weird is that...) is on it's last leg. The 1 and 8 just don't work anymore. So, gotta get one of those too.

Let's not talk about the vertical blinds to the patio or the curtains that rest there-on.... or the cornace-board in the guest bathroom. Doesn't my house know I'm trying to build a website and get ready for CHA!! I simply don't have time for this... ugh.

Flashback

Today I was working diligently, as always.... lol... and things were just meshing and coming together just right. I made a color pallette, and before I knew it... BAM! There was this! I don't know if it's the colors or the peace signs... but I really like it. It's in the PPF shoppe! Go take a look!!!

Come What May

What seems like forever ago, Paul and I rented Moulan Rouge. I was so excited to see it. I am and have been a huge Nicole Kidman fan, and I have a crush on Ewan McGreger the size of Australia...lol (that's only funny because that's where they are both from). But, I thought the movie was a bit of a farce, as I'm sure it was meant to be. It was outlandish...and weird. But, it was, in fact one of the most romantic and poetically beautiful love stories I've ever seen. The song "Come What May" is one of my favorite songs. It's so soft, sweet, and a little out of rhythm.. making it all the more appealing.

Those three words, "Come What May" seemed just right on for the re-build of PurplePaperFlowers.com as well. We have overcome obstacles this year. Things I don't care to air out in public... and don't wish to share. We are like the little engine that could in a way. But, Come What May, we will survive to be stronger than ever.

It was this inspiration that drove me to get the Design Team of PPF together for an amazing collaborative kit called~ of course, "Come What May". There is some amazing talent on the team! I can't wait to reveal this amazing kit. I am blown away by some of the submissions so far. Just blown away.

And so it begins... the countdown to the opening of PurplePaperFlowers.... stay tuned.
