Someone said to me last weekend in a quick shout-out across the room- "You need to update your blog!!!" And, yes, that I do. It's been nearly a month since I checked in! Holy cow! Sorry about that guys and gals. Lots to talk about and rant about... where to start...
Okay, first off- I have a confession. Over the last two months I have become secretly obsessed and in love with Josh Groban! I know... but I got the new album (okay, the ITunes download) back in January, and I have just started listening to it non-stop. It inspires me when I'm working, and keeps me from getting the writer's/scrappers block that so intensely haunts me at times. So, I'm officially in love. I think if he came up to the booth at CHA I'd just melt right there. I'm smitten. So much so, I did a kit inspired by "February Song", off the AWAKE album. That kit will be free to you all in the new "Digi-Scrappin' 103- Designing with Fonts" book. Until then, you can pick it up at PurplePaperFlowers.com.
Aside from the obvious new love with Josh, I've also had some big changes come my way this month. I have taken up residence in the offices of Design Originals! Yes- really! I'm so excited to be back at work full-time, and promoting the books and cause I love so much. With Ben starting Kindergarten, the time just seemed perfect. So, Monday-Friday from 9a-2p, you'll find me there.
I bought a new PC (sorry, MAC users). I'm upgraded to 3G of RAM and 500G of internal space. I'm flying! I love my new HP, and I have to say- I also really love Vista. I fought with getting it, but I had to. I also upgraded to Photoshop CS3, and am loving it too. All is really great on the design front right now. It's smokin'!!!
The boys are starting school Monday, and I'm excited, but a little blue at the same time. It's hard for me to believe that in 10 short years Nicholas will be going into his senior year. Where does the time go? Ben is so excited to be starting school. He's taking up Karate, and Nicholas has started Piano lessons. Let's hope I have a little Josh Groban of my own! We enrolled him in Master's Touch Studio in Grapevine, Texas. If you're local and looking- they ROCK.
Kristy and I are prepping hard-core for the upcoming Memory Trends show. We'll be leaveing for Las Vegas in four short weeks. I'm thrilled to be putting on a digital-seminar. My two guest speakers Renee Pearson from Digital Scrapbooking Magazine, and Angie Svaboda, an incredible designer from Omaha. We are staying at The Venetian for the week, and I couldn't be more excited about the trip over all. Paul is coming out to join me for the weekend on Thursday, so we will get a sweet little mini-vacation.
For now, though, my house is in major need of some attention, and my tummy is rumbling terribly. So, I'm off to take care of those things... and I promise to update again before a month is out!!!!!
Hugs to all~ A
