Just for Angie
It appears as if I've been tagged!!! lol... Okay, Angie... this is just for you, cuz I love you so much, and I'm sorry your printer is being a meany.
Random facts about me:
1- I can't swim. Never learned. No desire too. As white as I am, I know that's hard to believe. I am terrified of water. My dad signed me up for lessons when I was 8 or so, and it was a nightmare. He gave in after 2 lessons.... sorry Daddy!
2- When I was 19 I worked for WRFX in Charlotte, NC~ a classic rock radio station. One day the program director realized that they hadn't given away a Korbel Champaign Hot Air Balloon ride like they were supposed to, so up in the balloon I went. We took off from behind Southpark Mall, and my dad followed me as far as he could on the ground in his truck. Very fun.
3- I am a music fiend. Most people know this about me, but some people don't. I can name nearly any song in the first 5 notes.... and most of the time artist and album too. It's an uncanny knack I have.
4- I am a closet Karaoke lover. Kind of goes along with the last fact. I just bought the American Idol Karaoke Revolution for the Wii... and I am having so much fun with it!! lol.... don't ask....
5- I can't stand olives or rye bread. I've even told people I'm allergic to get out of eating them. But... secretly... I'm not allergic. Ok... I SO just busted myself.
6- If I lived near a casino, I would have a gambling problem. I LOVE blackjack. Usually I'm pretty good at it. I'm glad I don't live near one.
7- My favorite time of day~ believe it or not, is waking my kids up for school during the week. Now, this may be hard to beleive because anyone who knows me knows that I am anything but a morning person. But, in the mornings~ when I get to wake them up...see their messy hair and those big first-thing-in-the-morning grins... that does it for me. Completely.

Catching Up
Once again, life has interfered and kept me from updating the ol' blog. On a good note, I'm about to be done with BLOGGER. I'm in the process of setting up a new one over at Squarespace. I read Tiffany Tillman's blog, and it was so cute I couldn't resist. It's a bit more customizable, so I can't wait to get it up and going.
Yesterday I had the appointment with Dr. R, my wonderful cosmetic surgeon. The procedure I am having is actually quite a bit more expensive than we were planning on, so we may have to wait until September. Hopefully not, but we'll see. I am still sticking to Weight Watchers, though the urge to devour a hamburger in a single gulp has crossed my mind more than once. I've lost 10 lbs. so far. I can't really tell. But, the scale says I have, and I know it doesn't lie. It just reminds me of how far I have left to go. My spirits are high, though. And, I'm so completely excited about the surgery. After talking to Dr. R yesterday I am much more comfortable and less scared about the whole thing. And, when it's all said and done, I'll have a clean slate- a second chance, if you will. Goodness knows we all deserve a second chance.
Another exciting thing.... I'm in The Apprentice Challenge at LittleDreamerDesigns.com. I've made it to the second round. We'll find out if I've made it past there next week. I'm going to be on eggshells until then. I've learned a lot so far. And they've told me it's safe to post my kit here for all to see, so here it is...
